So much great news to share. Please join us in congratulating the many accomplishments of the AZ-PRIDE Alumni and Mentees 

 

Jacqueline C. Stocking, PhD, MBA, MSN, RN, NEA-BC of Cohort 8 and Christian Bime, MD, MSC of Cohort 4 recently had a paper accepted! Congrats Jackie & Christian!!!

Nancy Casanova, MD, MPH of Cohort 5 and Christian Bime, MD, MSC of Cohort 4 recently have had 2 papers published! Fantastic work Nancy and Christian!!

Felix Riveria-Mariani, PhD of Cohort 7 recently had a paper published and has announced that he is the founder of a bilingual based science community organization "Science at a Glance / Vistazo a la Ciencia"

Melisa Celaya, PhD of Cohort 9 has been promoted to the University of Arizona's GME Research Education and Administration Director along with the Clinical Research Graduate Program Associate Director. In her new role, she will develop a competency-based research curriculum that spans across departments, programs, and level of experience to create a continuum across stages of learning and project completion.  She will represent GME research across Banner and UA COM-P, serving on various committees to achieve the goal of appropriate integration.  Additionally, she will oversee the GME research office budget and reporting of GME academic output.

Brittany L. Smalls, PhD, MHSA of Cohort 6 was recently promoted to Associate Professor with tenure at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Department of Family and Community Medicine. She has also been invited to give a talk as part of the NIDDK The Social Component of Diabetes Health Disparities: New Directions in Analyses and Interventions Through Social Networks and Structures meeting that is scheduled for May 19-20 in Bethseda, MD. This is amazing Brittney, keep up the good work!!

Maria Teresa Coutinho, PhD of Cohort 7 has taken on a new role as clinical associate professor at  Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development’s Department of Counseling Psychology and Applied Human Development. Congratulations Maria, you will do amazing work!
